GovCon Growth Diagnostic

Before You Invest in Capture, Proposals, or Pricing Support, Know Exactly What Your Firm Needs.

The GovCon Growth Diagnostic is a structured 30-minute strategy session with a CIG senior acquisition professional. It is not a sales call. It is a diagnostic: a direct, expert assessment of where your firm's federal growth strategy has gaps, and what addressing those gaps is worth to your pipeline.

Most firms come in knowing they have a problem. They are losing on price, getting consistent debrief feedback about weak past performance narratives, or watching incumbents win re-competes on requirements they are genuinely capable of performing. The diagnostic gives you a clear-eyed read on the specific problem, not a general assessment of what GovCon is hard.

What Happens on the Call

You will walk away from a GovCon Growth Diagnostic with three things.

A specific diagnosis of your primary competitive gap. Not a list of everything you could improve. The one or two issues that are most directly costing you awards or limiting your pipeline right now, whether that is a pricing realism problem, a past performance positioning gap, a capture timing issue, or a proposal narrative weakness.

A concrete next step. What to do about that gap, in specific terms. CIG's diagnostic is designed to be actionable regardless of whether you engage us further. You should leave the call with something you can implement.

An honest assessment of where CIG can help and where you may not need us. Not every firm needs the same support. If your gap is something you can address internally with the right direction, we will tell you that. If you need evaluator-calibrated proposal support, pricing analysis, or capture strategy that requires outside expertise, we will explain exactly what that looks like and what it costs.

Who the Diagnostic Is For

The GovCon Growth Diagnostic is designed for small and diverse-owned federal contractors that meet the following profile:

‍ ‍

You are already performing on at least one federal prime contract, or you have meaningful subcontract experience in the last three years. You are in the $8M to $50M revenue range, or actively working toward it. You have a specific federal growth challenge: a re-compete coming up, a vehicle you are trying to get on, a pricing problem you cannot diagnose, or a proposal approach that keeps falling short. You are ready to invest in your federal growth infrastructure, not looking for free advice to execute yourself.

‍ ‍

If you are just beginning to explore federal contracting and have no prior federal or subcontract experience, our Insights page and GovCon Foundations course content are better starting points.

Why CIG

CIG's founding team held source selection authority. We ran evaluation boards. We awarded contracts across DoD, HHS, DHS, and civilian agencies. When we assess your competitive position, we are telling you what we would think if we were still on the other side of the table reviewing your submission.

That perspective is not available from consultants who studied the FAR. It is only available from the people who applied it.

Book Your Diagnostic

After booking, you will receive a brief intake form asking about your current federal work, your primary growth challenge, and your upcoming opportunities. Completing it before the call allows us to skip the background and go straight to the diagnosis.

The GovCon Growth Diagnostic is free and lasts 30 minutes. Availability is limited to ensure each session receives senior-level attention.
